Fort George
Fort George is a fort on the Niagara River tha was in the War of 1812 captured by the Americans for a year, then retaken by the Canadians. The fort is extensively restored with quarters, workshops, bakery, and hospital, all staffed with people in authentic costumes who have an amazing knowledge of history. Demonstrations of musket and cannon fire are conducted periodically.
